- Get Treated. Testing positive is no longer a death sentence, with proper treatment. Without it, an enervated immune system can be overpowered by any opportunistic infection.
Not only will you protect your own health, but that of others by getting treated because by suppressing the AIDS virus, you'll cut the risk of infecting others.
Here's more good news: A few days ago an advisory panel urged the FDA to approve Truvada as the first drug that can significantly prevent HIV infection.
If we apply what we know now, infection rates can plummet.
